Edit Automation Trigger Expressions

Expression triggers can be edited two ways:

  • By filling in the parts of the trigger that are underlined in orange
  • By extending the trigger and defining filters in the right-hand panel

Any edits to a trigger only impacts records after the edits are saved.

Fill in the Underlined Part of the Trigger

  1. Click iAdministration_sm.png>Automation Manager.
  2. Click Create Automation.
  3. Search for and select a trigger. For example, Create or edit records after a child record is edited.
  4. In the trigger, select a record from the list.

You can continue editing by extending the trigger.

Extend the Trigger

  1. Click Screen Shot 2018-04-12 at 3.27.44 PM.png>Automation Manager.
  2. Click Create Automation.
  3. Search for and select an event-based trigger. For example, Create or edit records after a labor history record is created.
  4. Click on the trigger.
  5. Set the properties.
