Sign In Failed

Symptom

The following error message may display when the user is redirected back to the Cartegraph sign in screen after successfully signing into ArcGIS:

"Sign in failed. Ask your System Administrator for help."

Quick Fix

The System Administration needs to look at the Error Log for details.

The following are possible reasons the sign in may fail:

  • Cartegraph User Account is Inactive
  • Esri Account is Associated to Multiple Accounts
  • User Account is Locked  

Symptom

The following error message may display when the user is redirected back to the Cartegraph sign in screen after successfully signing into ArcGIS:

"Sign in failed because a Cartegraph account was not found for the ArcGIS Identity <ArcGIS Identity name>. Ask your System Administrator for help." 

Quick Fix

The System Administrator needs to add the Esri User Name to the user record.
