Cannot Run Analysis

The following error message displays when a user tries to run a Spatial Analysis and there are no Esri Credits available.

"Your access to this feature is blocked. Ask your GIS Administrator for help."

Solution

If you need access to this feature, ask your GIS Administrator to allocate credits.

The following error message displays when a user tries to run a Spatial Analysis and their Esri sign in does not have adequate permissions.

"Your ArcGIS account is not configured to perform analysis. Ask your GIS Administrator for help."

Solution

If you need access to this feature, ask your GIS Administrator to change your ArcGIS online role.  See Esri documentation for the required privileges: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/use-maps/use-analysis-tools.htm

The following error message displays when a user tries to run a Spatial Analysis using an Esri layer that cannot be accessed.

"One or more of the Esri layers selected in the query cannot be accessed. Ask your GIS Administrator for help."

Solution

Check the Cartegraph Error Log .

For errors similar to:

Accessing url https://[server]/arcgis/rest/services/[service] returned error Internal server error. (status code 500)

The layer is not a public facing URL. Ask your GIS Administrator to add the layer to the map using its public facing URL.

For errors similar to :

Accessing url https://[server]/arcgis/rest/services/[service] returned error No resource could be found at that address. (status code 404)
