About Container Condition Index and Rating

The Container Condition Index (CCI) is a weighted average of an asset's Estimated OCI and the average Estimated OCIs of its components. The default weight is 1.0 for the container asset's OCI. Weights for the children are defined as part of the container/component relationship. If a component's weight is 0.0, it is not included in its container's CCI calculation. Reitred assets and components are not included in the calculation.

Container Condition Rating (CCR) is calculated from the CCI the same way Overall Condition Rating (OCR) comes from OCI.

The Inspection OCI, Today’s Estimated OCI, and Remaining Life calculations are not affected.

Container CCI and CCR update when:

  • A component asset is added to the container.
  • A component asset is moved from one container to another. This affects the CCI and CCR of both the new and former container asset.
  • Container asset OCI updates trigger the container asset CCI update. Container OCI and CCI update when:
    • A task is completed for the container.
    • A previously completed task is updated.
    • A previously completed task is removed.
  • Component asset OCI updates trigger the update of the container asset CCI. Component OCI and CCI update when:
    • A task is completed for the component.
    • A previously completed task is updated.
    • A previously completed task is removed.
  • During processing of the Cartegraph Asset Condition Recalculator background task, the OCI weights of a component asset are changed when applicable.

The Container CCI value is located on the container asset Summary tip and tab.

The Container CCR value is located on the container asset Summary tip.

You can also create a new view in Layout Manager for your container asset to view the CCI and CCR on the Asset Detail page.

You would need to add these fields per asset type.

  • Estimated CCI
  • Estimated CCR

In Asset List view you can also add these fields to asset's List view. But, only one asset type can display at a time to add these fields to the List view.
