The container total cost is the sum of the container cost and the costs for each component asset that were incurred while the component was attached to the container. Costs associated to the component asset before it is attached to a container are not included in the container total cost.
Costs associated to the component asset remain with the container asset even if the component is moved to another container.

Bench 100 is contained in Park 1. When a bench task is created, that task's cost is part of the bench's total cost and Park 1's total cost. If the bench is then moved to Park 2 and another bench task is created, that task's cost is applied to Park 2. The cost of the first task, however, still applies to Park 1.
Bench 100 has a task for installation of $100.
Bench 100 is then attached as a component of Park 1.
Park 1 had an existing asset cost of $5,000. The container cost of Park 1 is not affected by the addition of Bench 100.
Task is created to paint Bench 100. Cost of the painting task is $200.
Park 1 total container cost increases by $200 to now be $5,200.
Bench 100 total cost increases to $300.
Bench 100 is moved to now be a component of Park 2. The total cost of Park 1 is not affected because of the move. The cost of the painting of Bench 100 remains in Park 1 total container cost.
Park 2 has an existing cost of $3,500.
Bench 100 has a new task for cleaning the bench. Cost of the cleaning task is $50.
Park 2 total container cost increases by $50 to now be $3,550.
Bench 100 has $350 in total costs.
