Cartegraph Sign In Failed

You must have administrator rights to access this feature.

Esri Account is Not Associated to an Organization

The following error message may display when the user is redirected back to the Cartegraph entry screen after successfully logging into Esri:

"To access Cartegraph use your ArcGIS Identity that is tied to your organization's ArcGIS Online account. Identities tied to individual public or private accounts are not allowed."


The Cartegraph Administrator must edit the user's account to replace the Esri user name with one that is tied to the organization's ArcGIS account.

  1. Click iAdministration.png>User Administration.
  2. Highlight the User Name of the person trying to sign in.
  3. Click View.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Enter the Esri User Name tied to the organization's ArcGIS account.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Notify the user what Esri account they should use when signing in.
