Activities are the most important information stored in a task. An activity is the action performed on an asset. The activity may relate to maintenance, construction, inspection, or administrative actions.
The Activities library is used for all Cartegraph assets. It contains special information about the asset type it applies to and how it impacts Key Dates.
The Activities library contains the Task activities an organization performs. When you add entries to the Activities library select the appropriate Activity Applies To check box so this Activity displays when creating a Task for that Asset Type. When an application is installed the Activity Applies To check box is selected for each activity included in that application’s start-up data.
Every standard asset comes with a set of specially selected activities that should be performed as part of asset management best practices. To help with tracking the asset's condition, every standard asset activity includes Install, Replace, and Retire; the key dates for these can be edited.
