Add a Map to a Report

A map can be added in a report for any recordsets with spatial data. This includes Requests, Tasks, and all Assets. The map displays with defaults unless otherwise specified.

Multiple Record per Page Report Type

  1. Create a new report.
  2. Select the Insert Tab in the Advanced Report Designer and select Report Container.
  3. Draw a window in the preview for the desired size for the report container.
  4. Select Table and select the desired recordset for the report and click OK.
  5. Select the desired fields to add to the report including MAP and select OK.
  6. Highlight the Table in the Objects panel and select Contents.
  7. Select Data Line and select recordset.MAP.
  8. Select Edit a column or line definition.
  9. Add Drawing() with the MAP field inside the parenthesis to change the field from a text URL to a picture of the map and select OK. For example: Drawing(recordset.MAP)
  10. Change the height of the field to be 4 in to display the full map size. If you don't change the height, the map is reduced in size to fit inside the default line height.
OPTIONAL: Add a filter to limit the records being displayed in the report.
