Cartegraph comes with three default roles, Default Administrator, Default Internal Request User, and Default User.
- All roles automatically have access to both Cartegraph Requests and the Internal Request feature.
- The default roles have the required permissions to create a Request and a Requester from the Internal Request feature.
- Access to Internal Requests can only be removed from a custom role.
Users assigned to a custom role need permissions to the Internal Request feature and create permissions to Requests. The role does not need access to Requester Logs or Requests Location to create requests or requesters from the Internal Request feature.
Also, if the Requests: Create security assignment for Attachments is turned off for a role, then the Add an attachment link is hidden in the Internal Request feature for any users assigned to that role.
Only image files can be attached to internal requests.
There is a different Sign In screen for the Internal Request feature than for the Cartegraph system. Users are given permissions at the role level.
Anonymous sign in permission for Internal Requests can also be set using a System Setting.
For a user who only needs access to the Internal Request feature, assign him or her to the Default Internal Request User role.
To remove access to Internal Requests, in Global Command permissions, set Internal Request to Deny.
