Mobile

In mobile there are several ways to create a Task from a Request. The behavior of the create-task process is the same for each.

List View and Map

Select an item in the list or select an item on the map to start the create-task process.

Detail View

From the detail of a Request, if you are not editing the Request, the create-task process starts.

The create-task process allows you to choose an asset type such as Sign or Non-Asset.

The list of available asset types or Non-Asset is determined by the Request Issues library applies to settings. For example, the issue of Clean may have Applies to Signs, Applies to Supports, and Applies to Non-Asset turned on in the Request Issues library. So Signs, Supports and Non-Asset would be available when creating the Task for a Request with an issue type of Clean.

In mobile, you create one task at a time. You might create a Task for the asset type of Sign first and then another Task for Non-Asset.

For an asset type such as Sign, there is always a location. During the create-task process, you will be required to select the asset on the map.

For Non-Asset, you can specify the location on the map or choose not to have any location.

The Task is always associated to the Request, or associate the Task to a Work Order.
