About Adding Tasks to Work Orders

There are four scenarios for associating Tasks to Work Orders:

  • Add an existing task to an existing Work Order
  • Add an existing task to a new Work Order
  • Add a new task to an existing Work Order
  • Add a new Task to a new Work Order

For existing Tasks, select Tasks from the List view or an individual Task’s Detail view and select Add to Work Order from the Actions menu.

For new Tasks, Click Create Task to create a Task and during the guided process you are able to decide not to associate to a Work Order, select or create a Work Order to associate it to.

If a Work Order’s associated Task is an inspection, dates must be kept inline. The Task’s Inspection Date be on or after the Task’s Actual Start Date and on or before the Actual Stop Date.
