Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation Adopts Proactive Approach for Maintaining Infrastructure Investment

Not-for-profit expands sustainability efforts with the Cartegraph Operations Management System

DUBUQUE, IOWA – Cartegraph, the leading provider of work, asset, resource, and request management technology for local governments, is pleased to announce the addition of New York City’s award-winning Brooklyn Bridge Park to its roster of public sector clients.

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, the not-for-profit entity responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of Brooklyn Bridge Park, has chosen Cartegraph technology to help it proactively inspect and maintain park assets and facilities, and a highly sustainable park infrastructure featuring a stormwater recycling system capable of satisfying 70 percent of the Park’s total irrigation needs.

“The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation is a very progressive organization and it needs technology created by progressive thinkers,” said Jim Krausman, Cartegraph Subject Matter Expert. “Cartegraph’s mobile solution, with its simple work order and mapping options, and user-friendly interface, made it the perfect fit for the organization’s need to collect and share data in the field.”

Brooklyn Bridge Park is an 85-acre sustainable waterfront park stretching 1.3 miles along Brooklyn’s East River shoreline. It is built on the site of a historic, but long defunct, cargo shipping and storage complex. Since its official opening in 2010, Brooklyn Bridge Park has catered to New York City and its visitors with a multitude of free, ongoing cultural, educational, and recreational events.
